12 Honest Men is an American Metal band hailing from the outskirts of Kansas City, Kansas. With a sound revolving strongly around crushing, melodic guitars, concussive drums and big vocals, they are poising themselves to bring their brand of music to people all over the Midwest.
Founded in 2011 the band has been working on their own material. With songs such as "How Far", a lament to the trials of life after your world crashes around you. "Except Yourself" is about bringing pain on yourself, but blaming the world. "American Dream" is an elegy for fallen friends and comrades. It's written from the first hand perspective of Tony who is a Veteran of both Iraq conflicts. "Smile", an 8 minute long opus to not being good enough. Trying your best, but never making the cut.
In a time of Civil unrest, continuing economic strife and questionable futures. 12 Honest Men set themselves up to be the fall guys. Men who aren't good enough for society or social norms. Just trying to survive and make do with the cards they've been dealt. 12 Honest Men are just like you.

So, we're moving away from Tumblr for our almost non-existent blogging and moving to Blogger. I'm hoping to get the other guys more involved in the blogging process, so people can see more of how we tick individually. I think it'll be a good move and a pretty good decision. Let's be honest, Tumblr is great for what it is, but all it really serves is a way to share things. It's a long form Twitter. Plus, there's a lot of people on there that aren't who they claim. It's like a weird mentality of the internet to be someone else. An opportunity to make something more of who you think you should be and not who you are. A mish mosh of shared pictures and crap that you can't claim any original right to, because you "re-blogged" it from someone else's blog, who in turn got it from somewhere else and so on.
We haven't been the most connected, but we're hoping to change that. Everyone in 12HM is now free to contribute to this blog and share what's happening in our little world. It should be a good time. We'll laugh, cry and hopefully entertain you.Which is what brings us to the actual news of this whole thing. We've got 11 songs written and we're rehearsing to play out. We still have plans to record and get that ball rolling. Merch, shows an album. It'll be like we're a real band. Stay tuned for more news and maybe some deep thoughts.

- We're playing Club Wars on October 20th at Aftershock in Merriam. Tickets are $8 and you can get them direct through us. In fact, you should get them through us, because it helps us out. That's the deets all. If you want a ticket let us know and we'll get one to you.
